Ok, I've used this tripod mount a few times now inside the cab of my truck and on my motorcycle. There is no place on my truck dash that is smooth enough for the suction required, so I had to mount it to the inside of the rear window, facing the camera towards the front. This works ok, but it was difficult to find just the right place where the rear view mirror wasn't in the middle of the view. I was not able to mount it to the inside of the windshield, because the arm is too short for my Drift Innovation Camcorder, which is a long one. It should be fine for a smaller/shorter camera like a compact digital camera using video mode. I wish the arm was about an inch longer and I wouldn't have had any problems.

On my motorcycle, I had no problems mounting it in multiple places due to the smoothness of the gas tank, body work, etc., but once again, another inch of length on the arm would have allowed me to mount it on top of my gas tank looking through my bolt-on windscreen... Read more
